LABORATORIO DI COMUNITÀ “RADICI ALBERO CASA”

Roots Tree House is a community workshop aimed at the entire population.

The tree is the symbol that was used during the workshop to help participants reflect and experiment.

Through reflection and manual work, people reasoned about some important themes for the individual and their community: the place where we live, our origins, our relationships, and where we feel at home.

In the first part, participants of all ages worked on the ground: they used drawings, colors, string, and other creative materials to build a descriptive map of their community.

They drew family relationships, personal information, the movements of emigrated and returned people, and memories.

The goal of this phase was to build a conceptual map in the shape of a tree: each detail reflected a piece of the family's history and connection with other people.

In the second phase, the workshop became more artisanal and practical.

Participants used copper to shape their stories, turning memories into a shared work of art.
